The Disaster That is - The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)

Claims: "W3C develops interoperable technologies (specifications, guidelines, software, and tools) to lead the Web to its full potential."

As I write this blog entry, I'm very concerned on the stupidity of the W3C folks who dictate what is considered standard coding when formatting websites.

Recently, a client of mine who runs a huge successful online retail website noticed some recent issues with validation when he ran a test. Code that we had working fine with no errors all of a sudden showed this:

So from W3C dictation they claim now using a simple <style> tag inside your websites body is now bad! You heard me, Bad!

What style is used for: The <style> element is used to add CSS style rules to an HTML document. The element is expected to appear in the document <head>, but will also render acceptably when used in the <body> of the document.

So W3C knows better then those who created the <style> usage and now dictates errors for a legit usage of <style>.

Many Multi million dollar companies such as Amazon, Twitter, Facebook, Walmart, and even Google do not follow any of the nonsense that W3C's really bad dictation of code format dictates. Reason? W3C is a joke. They try to dictate how you should code, and ignore the facts that some code was designed to work in such a manner.

Here is some of the most successful websites on the net that W3C claims are bad:

See? So it's ok to ignore W3C as a legit outfit that says their dictation of code helps you. No they do not help, specially removing valid coding practices that they do not like. You might as well have Mr. Bean behind the curtain on the stupidity of decisions.

When I first seen these errors I tried contacting them about how ridiculous this exclusion is. Their response to me?

Delete!

They are not even up for discussion! This is what makes them a joke and a bunch of code communists.

So from this point on, BrainScanMedia.com, Inc. is taking the same approach as the sites listed above. Ignore the insanity that is W3C.

Their actions and professional communication as shown above makes them a 2 bit outfit that no one takes seriously.

Thanks for reading...
